Benedikt Sobotka, CEO of Eurasian Resources Group, spoke positively about the impact of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) during an interview with CGTN Anchor Guan Xin.
Sobotka stated that the BRI has contributed significantly to economic integration and trade flows in Eurasia and beyond over the past decade. He emphasized that BRI investments often trigger secondary and tertiary investments not directly linked to the initial projects.
At the upcoming CEO Conference during the Forum, Eurasian Resources Group plans to sign several agreements related to current BRI projects in Africa, South America and Central Asia. Sobotka expressed a strong interest in the conference providing guidance on coordinating policies and promoting investment into long-term, sustainable BRI infrastructure projects.
Sobotka also outlined Eurasian Resources Group's commitment to sustainability across its mining operations and supply chains. He highlighted the company's involvement in the Global Battery Alliance for establishing responsible battery material supply chains to support the green energy transition.
