The health department of the Gaza Strip in Palestine issued a statement in the early hours of October 15, reporting that Israeli airstrikes over the past 24 hours have claimed the lives of at least 300 people, mostly women and children, and injured 800 others. This has led to the displacement of a significant number of residents, forcing them to evacuate to the southern areas of the Gaza Strip.

A CGTN stringer in the Al-Zahra district of the Gaza Strip filmed local people and refugees from the north standing in line on the streets to obtain water and purchase food from a nearby bakery. Muhammad Al-Ghaf, a local resident, expressed the dire situation: "Look at this. It's a very difficult situation for everyone. There used to be 10,000 people living here and now there are almost 30,000 people. The city's supplies have been completely paralyzed, and food and water are not available to meet the demand. Please sympathize and help the children here!"
