Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday held talks with Chilean President Gabriel Boric, who is in Beijing to attend the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
Xi said since the establishment of China-Chile diplomatic relations more than half a century ago, the bilateral ties have always been a frontrunner in China's relations with Latin American and Caribbean countries, setting a string of "firsts."
Noting that Chile is a pioneer in the Belt and Road cooperation between China and Latin America, Xi said that the bilateral cooperation in various fields has delivered tangible benefits to the two peoples.
