Family member of Israeli hostages urges release of elderly and kids

Israeli citizen Ido Dan said five of his family members have been taken hostage by Hamas. Speaking to CGTN after meeting U.S. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Dan said he has been assured by the leaders that efforts are already underway to rescue the hostages. "Please leave the elderly and the kids out of the war," he urged Hamas. He is worried for his 80-year-old aunt, who has a heart disease and no access to medication.
