Hailing from Mongolia, Bilge recently graduated from Tsinghua University in Beijing, where she majored in international relations and was a member of the Student Association of Belt and Road Initiative. She first experienced China's high-speed rail during a trip from Guangzhou, in south China's Guangdong Province, to Beijing and was impressed by its efficiency and speed.

Bilge says the Belt and Road Initiative emphasizes railway projects that promote connectivity and economic and trade cooperation between different countries. The China-Laos Railway that connects cities along the China-Laos border is a typical example. Railways such as the China-Laos Railway have enabled the convenient movement of goods and people between different regions, helping to realize the vision of the Belt and Road Initiative on a global scale.

Having witnessed the efficiency and benefits of China's high-speed rail firsthand, Bilge hopes Mongolia will be able to work with other countries to connect through a high-speed rail network.
