UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday condemned a hospital attack in Gaza, saying he's horrified by the killing of hundreds of Palestinian civilians.
"My heart is with the families of the victims. Hospitals and medical personnel are protected under international humanitarian law," he said.
According to Palestinian sources, at least 500 Palestinians were killed in a massive strike at Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City.
Hamas blamed Israel for the attack, while Israel said it was caused by a failed rocket launch by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a militant group in Gaza which has also denied involvement.
