On October 18, the Think Tank Conference of the Belt and Road Forum was held in Beijing. It brought together global leaders and scholars from various countries who exchanged insights on the Belt and Road Initiative. Ambassador Hisham El-Zimaity, former assistant foreign minister of Egypt, stressed the importance of the digitalization of the Belt and Road as artificial intelligence and robotic automation are now mainstream technologies, including driverless cars, assisted driving and advanced manufacturing, all of which will affect the way people work in the future.
