About two-thirds of Gaza's electricity comes from Israel. Israel's Energy Ministry announced on October 7 that it would cut off the power supply to the Gaza Strip in response to the ongoing conflict. Following the power supply outage, Gaza's residents are relying on a small number of backup generators and solar power for their daily basic necessities. However, with fuel gradually running out, the electricity supply has become increasingly tight.
