An international summit on the Palestinian question was held in Cairo on Saturday.
The Cairo Peace Summit, convened by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and attended by key regional leaders and diplomats, is in an effort toward de-escalation, cease-fire and the reaffirmation of the importance of humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza.
Earlier in the day, 20 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid entered Gaza through the Rafah crossing, the only border crossing between the besieged coastal enclave and Egypt.
El-Sisi told the summit that he invited leaders to come to agreement to end humanitarian disaster in Gaza and revive the path to peace.
UN Chief Antonio Guterres urged a "humanitarian cease-fire" in the Gaza conflict and called for global "action to end this godawful nightmare" at the meeting.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Palestinians would not be displaced or driven off their land. "We won't leave, we won't leave," he told the summit.
