In this exclusive interview with CMG's Leaders Talk, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that, coming from an ordinary working-class family, he acquired confidence on the playing field, and gained understanding of interpersonal relationships from sports. "I don't know what would have happened to me if I hadn't played sports," he said. President Putin remarked that as sports cooperation is an important aspect of cultural exchange, efforts should be made to continue exchanges in both competitive and non-competitive sports between Russia and China.
