According to the China Coast Guard (CCG) on Sunday, the Philippines insisted on sending two supply ships and two coast guard vessels to illegally deliver construction materials to the military vessel illegally "grounded" at Ren'ai Jiao in the South China Sea. China had stopped the Philippine vessels in accordance with the law after repeated dissuasion and warnings.
At 6:14 a.m., a Philippine boat deliberately bumped the front of a Chinese coast guard boat in a hazardous way.
At 8:13 a.m., a Philippine coast guard vessel reversed its direction in a premeditated manner, causing the collision between its tail and the starboard of a mooring Chinese fishing ship.
The CCG said the Philippines' actions seriously violated the international rules for avoiding collisions at sea and jeopardized the navigation safety of Chinese ships.
