Israel said its troops would soon see Gaza from the inside, as a ground operation set to wipe out Hamas is being prepared at the border now. Continuous airstrikes in Gaza have now killed more than 4,000 Palestinians, in what Israel calls the first phase of the war, in response to Hamas' surprise attack on October 7 that killed at least 1,300 Israelis and kidnapped 200 more. CGTN reporter Zhou Jiaxin talked to Itzhak Segev, Israeli military governor in Gaza in the early 1980s, who said "a new idea of two-state solution" is in sight after the fight that is likely to last for a month.
