Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee Wang Yi met with Oumar Demba Ba, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of Senegal in Beijing on Monday. Wang Yi underlined the strategic guidance provided by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Senegalese President Macky Sall, which has fostered mutual understanding and support between China and Senegal. This has built a solid foundation of mutual trust, deepened mutually beneficial cooperation, and elevated the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Senegal to new heights.
Demba Ba conveyed his appreciation for the fruitful results of cooperation between Senegal and China across various sectors, which have greatly contributed to the rapid transformation of Senegal. He said Senegal will continue to uphold the One-China principle, support China in safeguarding its core interests, and wholeheartedly promote cooperation between Africa and China.
