The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge marks its fifth-year anniversary on Monday. Spanning 55 kilometers, it's the longest bridge-and-tunnel sea crossing in the world. This mega-sized infrastructure has facilitated 718 billion yuan ($98 billion) worth of import and export trade since it opened to traffic on October 23, 2018. Fresh seafood exporters in Zhuhai's west say their goods can reach Hong Kong within an hour, compared to six hours via Shenzhen. The bridge is unlocking new opportunities in business and tourism, and improved connectivity is key to China's plan to make the Greater Bay Area a world-class city cluster and economic powerhouse.
