China Untapped: Huzhou
CGTN

Located in the east of China, on the south shore of Taihu Lake, Huzhou has beenwell-known for its richnessin resources and blooming in silk trade since the ancient times. Guided by the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", Huzhou now is committed to developing green industries.

In this episode, CGTN hosts Tianran He and Hannah Wilson travelled to Huzhou, where they tried a variety of guesthouse hotels in the Moganshan Mountains; experienced the life of digital nomads in Anji’s countryside; learned about the eco-concepts behind China's traditional architectures in Nanxun Ancient Town; and explored the development of eco-agriculture powered by high-tech along the Taihu Lake. All these phenomena demonstrate that economic development and environmental protectioncan achieve harmonious coexistence, and that civilization thrives if ecology is prosperous.
