At least 18 people were killed and 13 were injured in mass shootings in Lewiston in the U.S. state of Maine on Wednesday night, Governor Janet Mills told a news conference on Thursday.

The suspect, named Robert Card, is still at large, and was "considered armed and dangerous," the governor said.

Around 50 to 60 others were injured at several locations, including a local bowling alley and a bar, according to local officials.

The "person of interest" Robert Card is a petroleum supply specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve with more than two decades in the service and no prior overseas deployments, the U.S. army said on Thursday.
