CIIE fuels tech trend in global trade

The sixth edition of China's International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. Participants from as many as 154 countries and regions, as well as international organizations are expected to take part, bringing the number of exhibitors and visitors attending the event to over 3.9 million.

Cutting-edge technology in focus

Among the highlights of the expo this year, cutting-edge technology is spotlighted. More than 400 new technologies, products andservices will be showcased at this year's CIIE, according to China's Ministry of Commerce.

The latest technological breakthroughs in medical healthcare and green energy will be on display at the expo.

Product displays to look forward to include the world's first active knee joint prosthetic, molecular imaging technology for the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer, and hydrogen fuel cell heat exchangers, according to Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau.

International expos offer a communication channel for enterprises

More than 120 activities will be held along the sidelines of this year's CIIE. Industry leaders from a range of sectors, including auto manufacturing, medical health care, and digital technology, will gather to discuss new trends and exchange ideas.

More than 2,000 new products, technologies, and services were launched, and $350 billion worth of deals were initiated in the past five editions of CIIE.
