Team China continue to lead the 4th Asian Para Games tally on Thursday with 393 medals including 157 golds, 128 silvers and 108 bronzes in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province.
Tokyo Para Games swimming champion, 18-year-old Jiang Yuyan of China leads the athletes' tally of most individual medals. She became the first athlete to claim four gold medals on Wednesday, and raced to the top of the standing with a total of six medals including five golds.
Meanwhile, the organizers briefed the press on Thursday about plans and highlights of the closing ceremony, which is set to take place in two days. "The essential part of our creativity is to present the most authentic local culture of Hangzhou in the most touching fashion," said general director Sha Xiaolan. The ceremony is expected to last 55 minutes, featuring 213 physically-challenged performers among the rest of the cast in the spirit of their confidence and inspiring vitality.
In the three chapters of performances and three short videos set to take the stage, the closing ceremony will feature elements that signify local culture including West Lake silk umbrella, Chinese tea, and traditional Chinese instruments, hoping to craft a memory of Hangzhou for Games participants and exhibit China's hospitality.
