China sends its youngest-ever crew into space

China launched the Shenzhou-17 manned spaceship aboard a Long March-2F carrier rocket at 11:14 a.m. Beijing Time on October 26 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.

The Shenzhou-17 crew is the country's youngest lineup by average age – with Commander Tang Hongbo at 48, Operator Tang Shengjie at 34, and Jiang Xinlin at 35 – since the space station's construction began.
