The Israeli army says its tanks took part in what it calls a "targeted raid" overnight in northern Gaza as it prepares its forces for a ground invasion. The Israel Defense Forces says it has eliminated Hamas operatives and infrastructure. The Hamas office says Israel has bombed half of all housing in Gaza.
