The besieged Gaza Strip is facing a health crisis due to the Israeli blockade. Municipal services and waste management have been forced to shut down. In a shelter in south Gaza's Khan Yunis City, which has seen displaced residents flooding in from north Gaza, water and electricity shortages have led to inadequate restroom facilities. With the scarcity of fuel, many municipal cleaning vehicles have been parked for many days. The extreme shortages of supplies make the spread of infectious diseases only a matter of time in the region.
