Hamas denied Israel's accusations of Shifa Hospital being used for military purposes, Al Jazeera reported on Friday.

Earlier, Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said Hamas's main base of operations is under the hospital.

Hagari said Hamas has several underground complexes which are used to direct attacks against Israel, and the Strip's largest hospital, which contains 1,500 beds and 4,000 staff, is being used as a "human shield" for the base underneath it.
