Israel's military said it was aware of a security incident near its Red Sea border with Egypt early on Friday, following reports of a blast in the Egyptian town of Taba.
"We are aware of a security incident but it's on the outside of our border," the military said.
Egypt's Al Qahera News TV earlier reported that a missile fell in Taba, resulting in five injuries and damage to one residential building.
Citing intelligence sources, Al Qahera reported the blast was related to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
