UNGA adopts resolution calling for 'humanitarian truce' in Gaza despite U.S. opposition

The United Nations General Assembly adopted a major resolution on the Gaza crisis on October 27, urging an "immediate, durable and sustained humanitarian truce leading to a cessation of hostilities." The breakdown of the vote concluded with 120 members in favor, 45 abstentions and 14 against including the U.S. and Israel.
