World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Saturday said the organization is still out of touch with its staff and health facilities in Gaza amid intense bombardment as Israel expanded ground operations in Gaza.
"Evacuation of patients is not possible under such circumstances, nor to find safe shelter. The blackout is also making it impossible for ambulances to reach the injured," he wrote on social media platform X. "WHO appeals to all those who have the power to push for a ceasefire to act NOW."
