Team China won back-to-back mixed 2,000m relays at the short track speed skating World Cup on Saturday, clinching the title both times in the first two legs of the ISU series in Montreal.

Lin Xiaojun, who pulled out from last week's contest due to injury, joined Sun Long, Gong Li, and Wang Ye in Saturday's race, clocking 2:37.348 to finish 0.23 seconds clear of runners-up the Netherlands, followed by Team Italy. Olympic champion Lin, who also won a personal men's 500m bronze on the same day, overtook the Dutch team in the final two laps of the relay to put Team China ahead.

In the men's 500m, Lin finished behind leader Jordan Pierre-Gilles of Canada and China's Liu Shaolin in a dramatic final, when defending champion Liu Shaoang and local star Steven Dubois clashed in the last minute when they were leading.

The Chinese team won the mixed 2,000 relay title at the Beijing Winter Olympics, and won a gold and a silver in this event from the six-leg World Cup series in the last season.
