The Beijing Marathon was held on Sunday. The race started at Tiananmen Square and ended at Celebration Square in the Olympic Green Park. Ethiopia's Deresa Geleta Ulfata won the gold medal with a time of 2:07:41. Chen Tianyu was the best performer among all Chinese runners, ranking seventh with a time of 2:48:11.
