Defense and military officials from more than 90 countries, regions and international organizations are here in China to attend the tenth Beijing-Xiangshan Forum. The representatives come from Russia, the U.S. the UK, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Brazil, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Fiji. The organizers of the forum say the three-day event will focus on the Global Security Initiative, a new framework introduced by China.

In particular, there's a big increase in representation from developing countries and international and regional organizations. During the Forum, CMC leaders will also meet with defense and military leaders from foreign countries, and the carpets have been rolled out for all the guests."
