The Israeli Air Force said on Sunday it has hit over 600 Hamas targets in Gaza in a 24-hour period. Palestinian forces have clashed with invading Israeli troops to the east of the city of Khan Younis. The Hamas authorities said on Monday that more than 8,300 Palestinians have now been killed. Israel's death toll is at about 1,400.
