China's aerial search and rescue team at the Dongfeng Landing Site has fully prepared for the return of the Shenzhou-16 spaceship and the three astronauts aboard it from the China Space Station. The Shenzhou-16 crew is scheduled to return to the landing site on October 31 after completing an in-orbit work handover to the Shenzhou-17 crew. The aerial search and rescue team consists of one command helicopter, one communication helicopter, and three medical helicopters. So far, they have run through multiple take-off and landing tests at several locations. The aerial search and rescue team has carried out adaptive training to ensure air safety and the success of the mission. Precisely searching for the re-entry capsule is the key mission for the aerial search and rescue team, which has formulated a guided, science-based plan.
