BBC Studios iconic nature series documentary “Planet Earth” has long been popular among Chinese audiences since its first season was released in 2006. On Douban.com, the Chinese version of the rating platform IMDB.com, the “Planet Earth I” scored a 9.7 (out of 10) and the“Planet Earth II”marked even higher - 9.9! That was the highest score ever given by Chinese net users for a nature documentary.
With five years in preparation and production, the “Planet Earth III” has made a high-profile comeback in China as it debuts here on October 29.
CGTN caught up with Jonny Keeling, series producer of the “Planet Earth III” and the head of BBC Studios Natural History Unit (NHU), to talk about his understandings of the natural world.
