Two days into Israel's "second phase" of its ground operation in Gaza, tanks, troops and artillery continue to pound the northern strip with dozens of Hamas operatives reportedly killed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Palestinian authorities said Israel's retaliation for the deadly October 7 attack has so far claimed more than 8,300 lives, leading to international outcry and calls for a ceasefire.
