Israeli army says soldier rescued in Gaza during ground operations

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced in a statement on Monday that one Israeli soldier, who was abducted to the Gaza Strip by Hamas on October 7, has been rescued during its ground operations.

The IDF did not elaborate on the circumstances of the release. It said previously that a total of 239 people were taken hostage during the Hamas attack.
