Four Katyusha rockets on Monday were fired at Iraq's Ain al-Asad air base, which hosts U.S. and other international forces in western Iraq, Reuters reported, citing security sources.

It was not clear yet if the attack caused any casualties or damage and two army officials said the rockets might land away from the base.

An Iraqi militia "The Islamic Resistance in Iraq," in a statement, claimed responsibility for launching drone attacks on the U.S. military base.
