The Beijing Xiangshan Forum highlights the idea that global security issues are inter-related. Li Shuyin, a research fellow from the PLA's Academy of Military Sciences, says each country's security actions must not harm the interests of others.

LI SHUYIN, Researcher, PLA Academy of Military Sciences "Each country has its own security concerns, but we also say that we are having a shared future, and many security issues are intertwined. This requires every country to consider the security concerns of others when considering its own security concerns and not put its own security above others. For example, NATO's eastward expansion ensures greater security for itself but also sacrifices the security interests of other countries, making others' safe space smaller. Of course, I think each country must consider the security concerns of other countries when taking action."
