2023 Financial Street Forum promotes openness and cooperation amid global challenges

The annual conference of the 2023 Financial Street Forum is scheduled to be held in Beijing from November 8 to 10, and eyes financial reform, openness and innovation, according to a press conference on Wednesday.

Themed "Better China, Better World: Enhance Financial Openness and Cooperation for Shared Growth and Mutual Benefits", this year's event will feature a higher level of internationalization. 

A total of 400 heavyweights in the financial sector from 30 countries and regions are expected to attend. They will be sharing insights on the latest hot topics in the fields of economics and finance, discussing ways to advance international cooperation in order to meet the challenges in global economic development.

The Beijing Financial Street (BFS) is dubbed as "China's Wall Street" and the "brain" of the country’s 's finance sector. Following China's Central Financial Work Conference recently held in Beijing, the forum will emphasize on BFS's function as the national financial management center that integrates decision-making, supervision, and asset management, and the forum's role as a channel for national financial policy publicity and releases.

The forum will be co-hosted by the Beijing municipality government, People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulation Administration, China Securities Regulatory Commission, Xinhua News Agency and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
