China is ready to promote more tangible results in China-Honduras ties, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his Honduran counterpart Eduardo Enrique Reina on Wednesday in Beijing.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said China welcomes Honduras to attend the sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE) as Guest of Honor country and is willing to provide more opportunities for the import of Honduran specialty products.

China is ready to strengthen exchanges, deepen integration of development strategies, and promote high quality Belt and Road cooperation with Honduras, he said.

Reina thanked China for inviting Honduras to the CIIE as a Guest of Honor country and expressed willingness to promote mutual beneficial cooperation in various fields.

Honduras firmly adheres to the one-China principle, he said, adding that Honduras is ready to promote Belt and Road cooperation with China.

Noting that Honduras will serve as the rotating chair of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States next year, he said Honduras will take it as an opportunity to promote new progress in Latin America-China relations.
