The China Coast Guard (CCG) on Wednesday took necessary law enforcement measures against three Japanese vessels and several patrol ships that had illegally entered China's territorial waters surrounding the Diaoyu Islands, stated Gan Yu, spokesperson for the China Coast Guard.
Gan emphasized that Chinese Coast Guard vessels have been conducting maritime rights protection and law enforcement activities within China's legally recognized jurisdiction. He further called on the Japanese side to immediately cease all illegal activities within the waters of the Diaoyu Islands.
