China will participate in all of the shooting pistol and rifle events as well as the 3x3 basketball men's and the women's events at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
According to FIBA rules, teams that remain top three in the organization's 3x3 Federation Ranking by November 1 will automatically qualify for the Paris Olympics. China are in the third place on the men's list behind Serbia and USA while leading the women's list over USA and France.
3x3 basketball made its debut at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Latvia won the men's gold medal by beating the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC). Serbia defeated Belgium to secure the bronze. USA skipped the men's event.

On the women's side, USA got the gold over the ROC. China beat France to win the bronze medal.
There are still five births on each gender for teams to compete for in three Olympic qualifying tournaments in the first half of 2024. FIBA will announce the host locations and the participants in December.

China will send a full-16-athlete delegation to the shooting pistol and rifle events at Paris 2024 after Liu Rui won the women's 25-meter pistol gold and Tian Jiaming got the men's 50-meter rifle 3 positions bronze at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Asian Championships that ended in Changwon, South Korea, on Wednesday.
Furthermore, Qi Ying won the men's shot gun trap gold and Wei Meng claimed the women's shot gun skeet title at the Asian Championships, adding another two shot gun tickets for China at Paris 2024.
China won a total of 11 medals in shooting at the Tokyo Olympics, including four golds by Zhang Changhong in the men's 50-meter rifle 3 positions, Yang Qian in the women's 10-meter air rifle, Jiang Ranxin and Pang Wei in the mixed team 10-meter air pistol event, and Yang Qian and Yang Haoran in the mixed team 10-meter air rifle.
