A Chinese commercial rocket company successfully launched and landed a test rocket on Thursday, aiming to develop a reusable launch vehicle, according to its developer, Beijing Interstellar Glory Space Technology Ltd., also known as iSpace.

The mission marked a major breakthrough for China's commercial aerospace industry in reusable spacecraft technology, said the company.
With a length of about 17 meters and a diameter of 3.35 meters, the rocket flew at an altitude of over 178 meters, lasting for 50.82 seconds with a landing accuracy at about 1.68 meters.
The company made history as the first private Chinese company to reach orbit in 2019 with the solid-fueled Hyperbola-1 rocket.
