The Russian Defense Ministry said in a Telegram post on Thursday that air defense systems have detected and intercepted nine Ukrainian drones over the city of Energodar in the Zaporizhzhia region, where the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is located.

The ministry also accused Ukraine of "creating the threat of a man-made disaster" at the plant and disrupting the rotation of staff of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

There has been no response from Ukraine.
