Senior Chinese diplomat Wang Yi met with Tomas Pojar, the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, in Beijing on Thursday. Speaking at the meeting, Wang said China's relationship with the Czech Republic was raised to the level of a strategic partnership in 2016, and Beijing has always regarded the central European country as a cooperative partner. He said the Chinese people share friendly feelings with the people of the Czech Republic, adding that the international community attaches great importance to the country's role in regional and international affairs. For his part, Pojar said the Czech Republic hopes to strengthen economic, cultural and diplomatic relations with China.
