A massive fire at a drug rehabilitation center in northern Iran on Friday morning killed at least 32 people and injured 17 others, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported.

Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi has demanded a detailed investigation of the cause of the fire in Langarud, a city in Gilan province north of Tehran, the report added.

The judiciary's Mizan news agency said the center's managers and officials were under investigation.
