The China-Thailand Investment Forum was held in Beijing as part of the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF), aiming to promote economic, tourism and cultural ties between the two countries. Nearly 300 business representatives attended the event. According to data from the Thai Board of Investment, China is the largest foreign investment source in Thailand and has been its largest trading partner for 10 straight years. In the first half of 2023, China's investment in Thailand reached 364.4 billion baht (approximately $10 billion), a year-on-year increase of 70 percent.
