China-Malta Relations: Wang Yi meets Maltese foreign minister in Beijing

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met with his Maltese counterpart Ian Borg in Beijing on Friday. Wang says China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Malta across diverse fields, jointly address global challenges, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Borg says Malta highly values its relationship with China, and firmly adheres to the One-China principle. The visiting minister says his country will cooperate under the Belt and Road Initiative, believing it has brought important opportunities to the world. Borg is also scheduled to visit Shanghai and attend the upcoming China International Import Expo starting Sunday.
