The arrogance displayed by the European Union's leadership is deeply rooted in their antiquated colonial mindset, says Clare Daly, an Irish member of the European Parliament. China's assistance and investment in Africa has likely been more beneficial than that offered by the EU or the U.S., she says, and China provides investment and mutually beneficial exchanges, whereas the U.S. offers military bases and wars.
