In September this year, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet paid an official visit to China – his first overseas trip since taking office in August. It was a sign of the great importance that both sides attach to the continuous development of traditional China-Cambodia friendship. China is Cambodia's largest trading partner and source of foreign investment. China's investment and the strong trade growth between the two countries have contributed significantly to Cambodia's economic and social development.

Cambodia's main exports to China each year include milled rice, bananas, mangoes, cassava and seafood. Do you know how many bananas China bought from Cambodia in 2022? And of the 630,000 tonnes of rice Cambodia exported last year, how much of that was earmarked for China? CGTN Stringer took to the streets of Shanghai and the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh to ask passersby.
