Japan began releasing a third batch of the nuclear-contaminated water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant on Thursday. The plant operator discharged 7,800 tonnes of treated water in each of the first two batches and plans to release the same amount in the current batch through November 20.
The international community is paying great attention to this matter. CGTN Stringer hit the streets of Melbourne to ask what Australian people think of Japan's move. The people we spoke to said the discharge will cause devastating pollution to the ocean, damage marine life and greatly impact human health.
