The autumn tones of the Imperial Garden at the Palace Museum have been enhanced by the recent incessant drizzle in Beijing, refreshing the antique red walls and golden roof tiles, and revitalizing the golden yellow and rose-tinted leaves that adorn the garden with vibrant autumn colors.

Located near the Gate of the Terrestrial Tranquility, the Imperial Garden is a typical example of Chinese garden design. With around 20 buildings set in a 12,000-square-meter area, the garden showcases a harmonious fusion of trees, rocks and architecture using traditional aesthetics.
