A Palestinian official claims U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has rejected Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's request for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Einar Tangen, a senior fellow at the Beijing-based Taihe Institute think tank, says the U.S. stance makes no sense as the Israeli bombing would leave nothing left in Gaza to support a "two-state solution."
